ASU Internships & Field Experience

Internships provide students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their chosen field while still in school. They typically involve working for a company or organization for a set period of time, usually a semester or a summer, and can be either paid or unpaid. Practicums and clinicals are hands-on learning experiences where you apply your knowledge and develop field-specific skills in professional settings under the supervision of a licensed professional. The capstone project is a culminating experience that brings together knowledge and skills gained throughout your time at ASU. Students work on a project that addresses a real-world problem, challenge, or opportunity in their field of study.
